Summer Reading Program 2024!

The Summer Reading Program (SRP) runs from June 5 to July 31.

Participants can earn a prize by reading and logging their reading throughout the program.

Featuring app-based reading logs via ReaderZone. See instructions below to download the ReaderZone app and register for SRP using our unique program code (e36b2). Note: you can register early but won't be able to log daily reading until June 5. 

What else is happening at the Blanco Library this summer? 

1. Storytime: Thursdays from 10:30 to 11:30 (starting June 6)
2. Movie Days: Fridays @ 3:00 starting June 7 (see schedule)
3. A Shakespeare Is Fun Workshop: "A Midsummer Night's Dream" presented by Maggie Goodman, for Teens, Tweens, and Adults (July 17, from 10:30 to 12:00).

ReaderZone registration instructions:

Summer Reading Program participants will log their reading progress via the ReaderZone app. Download the Reader Zone app (see instructions from Reader Zone), create an account, enter our unique program code (e36b2), and start logging your reading!

(Note: Reader Zone can also be used without an app via traditional web browsers. Visit https://www.readerzone.com/ to create an account and log in using a browser without downloading the app).

Readers are separated by age group (Pre-K, Child, Teen, and Adult), so be sure to join the appropriate group once you enter our unique program code. Parents of children under 13 can create an account and manage multiple readers in the family under this same account with or without joining a reading program themselves.

Be sure to log your activities throughout the eight weeks to be eligible for a prize from the Blanco Library!

Don't have access to the app or just don't like technology? You can still use paper reading logs! Please ask us at the library!
