Elections
Our five Board Trustees are elected to two-year staggered terms.
Candidates must have resided within the Blanco County South Library District for at least 6 months, must be 18 years of age before the election, must be registered to vote, and must comply with other qualifications for holding public office as outlined in Election Code 141.001. The Blanco County South Library District encompasses anyone who lives in Blanco County’s precincts 1 or 4, but lives outside the Blanco City limits as those boundaries existed in 2002.To check your address for eligibility, use this LINK. In this year, 2025, two positions will be up for election. In 2026, three positions will be up for election.
The 2025 election will be held on Saturday, May 3rd. If the number of candidates does not exceed the number of positions open, the election will be canceled.
Notarized applications can be turned in to the Library Director, or mailed in (same address as physical), or emailed to elections@blancolib.org from January 15th through 5:00pm on February 14, 2025.
