Blanco Library

Little Free Libraries

Little Free Library is a nonprofit organization based in St. Paul, Minnesota. Our mission is to be a catalyst for building community, inspiring readers, and expanding book access for all through a global network of volunteer-led Little Free Library book-exchange boxes.

Our vision is a Little Free Library in every community and a book for every reader. We believe all people are empowered when the opportunity to discover a personally relevant book to read is not limited by time, space, or privilege.

Blanco Woman’s Club and The Friends of Blanco Library are excited to announce the installation of the first two “Little Free Libraries”: one at Bindseil City Park, painted by local Blanco artist, Becky Copeland, and a second one at Clinica Familia, 700 4th Street, painted by local artist Pete Garcia. The libraries were installed June 8th and stocked with books June 9, 2023. Anyone is free to take a book, so go check out the first two of 6 library boxes planned for Blanco, and find a good book to read. Keep watch for four more Little Free Libraries planned for the Blanco area.
