Getting a card, renewing materials, placing holds, etc.
Who can get a card
Everyone can apply for a library card. All children must have a parent or guardian present to apply for a child's card. Parents and guardian's must also have a library card account and be in good standing.
How to Get Your Card
Request a card at the front desk. There is no charge for a library card at the Blanco Library. You will be asked for your ID and proof of residency. You will have to wait for your card to arrive in the mail before you can check out items.
Online Card Registration
If you do not have a library card and want access to our ebooks, you can now apply for a library card online! In 24 hours or next business day you will be approved. Please be sure to upload your ID to make mailing your card quicker.

Borrowing Limits
Patrons are allowed up to 5 videos at a time and up to a total of 10 items.
Using Your Card
You are required to have your card or ID to checkout library items as well as use our computers. You can also check out electronic items from OverDrive using your library card number.
Placing Holds
Holds may be placed online through the library's catalog, or by calling the library, or requesting a hold at the front desk.
Renewing Your Borrowed Items
Library items may be renewed twice online, at the front desk, or by calling the library . After two renewals, items must be returned.
Library Fines
This Library does not charge fines, except for hotspots that are overdue by more than 30 days.
Consequences
If any patron violates any rules or policies of the library, a patron may be banned from the use of library services and legal action may take place.
