Your Library Card
Getting a card, renewing materials, placing holds, etc.
Who can get a card
Anyone age 5 and above. Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
How to Get Your Card
Request a card at the front desk. There is no charge for a library card at the Blanco Library. You will be asked for your driver’s license or proof of residency. You will receive your card immediately and be able to checkout items.
Borrowing Limits
First-time borrowers are limited to 3 items.
Patrons are allowed up to 5 videos at a time and up to a total of 10 items.
Using Your Card
You are required to have your card to checkout library items as well as use our computers.
Placing Holds
Holds may be placed by calling the library or requesting a hold at the front desk. A hold may also be placed through the library’s catalog.
Renewing Your Borrowed Items
Library items may be renewed once at the front desk, by calling the library or using the internet.
Library Fines
Books are fined at $.05 per day with a $1.00 maximum fee. Videos are fined at $.25 per day with a Maximum fee of $2.00.
