Blanco Library

Storytime, Thursdays, 10:30 to 11:30, with Carol Winscott.

Storytime will be held each Thursday from 10:30 to 11:30 in the Large Conference Room with library volunteer Carol Winscott.

Storytime is an early literacy program primarily for children from birth through preschool (0-5yrs) to encourage them to develop habits that foster a lifetime of reading.

Storytime will last approximately one hour and will consist of readings of stories along with short group activities, followed by a short cool down period to relax prior to going home.

Parents and caregivers are encouraged to be present during Storytime and to participate in group activities. If you plan to bring a group of more than four children to Storytime, please let us know ahead of time (830.833.4280).

Our group activities will include art, music, and light physical activities, such as balloon or ball toss, to encourage sensory and motor skills development.

Participants are encouraged to bring bath towels or mats to sit comfortably on the floor while listening to stories or participating in the cool down/relaxation activities prior to going home.

During our Summer Reading Program, which runs from June 14 to August 9, Carol will be reading books that tie into this year's theme, oceanography, and the "Oceans of Possibilities!"

If you have any questions, please call 830.833.4280. We look forward to your joining us for Storytime!
